13/February/2020 – Fatal MVC – “C” Shift

Incident # 20-01019 – A 67 year old Round O man died in a single car MVC in approximately the 6000 block of Round O Road north of Ferret Lane Thursday morning 13-February. The accident was discovered by a motorist at 01:41 who reported the driver of the car did not appear to be breathing. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived to find the man with multiple traumatic injuries and no signs of life. The Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. It appeared the passenger car was traveling south on Round O Road and dropped off of the right shoulder, overcorrected and lost control. The vehicle then struck a large tree. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 2, Medic 9, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Firefighter-EMT Dale Kizer served as Incident Commander.
