06/April/2020 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 20-02307 – A fire in the utility room caused moderate damage to a residential structure in the 700 block of Jedidiah Way Monday 06-April. At 13:01 Fire-Rescue was notified of the incident. Engine 9 arrived to find light smoke coming from the doublewide mobile home. Crews made entry through the front door with one 1-3/4 handline and quickly doused the fire behind the dryer. The fire burned the floor and wall in the utility room and also damaged the dryer. The residents were able to remain in the building after the fire was extinguished. The fire appears to have started in the lint trap and spread to the floor and wall. Crews used a PPV fan to evacuate smoke from the home.  

Engine 9, Engine 19, Tender 5, Tender 9, Tender 19, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
