27/June/2020 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 20-4242 – A Smoaks man was displaced following a fire that heavily damaged his home Saturday morning 27-June at 02:06. Engine 7 arrived to find the singlewide mobile home approximately 40% involved. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed one 1-3/4 handline and quickly knocked down the flames sparing about half of the structure, however the remainder of the home suffered substantial heat and smoke damage. Very little of the personal items were salvageable. The fire appears to have been electrical in nature and started on the north end of the mobile home. The occupant was awakened by the smoke and was able to safely escape without injury. A camper parked several feet in front of the mobile home was not damaged. Units were on the scene for two hours.

Engine 7, Engine 18, Tender 7, Tender 18, Tender 23, Tender 27, Medic 7, Medic 18, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Joseph Campbell served as Incident Commander.
