Incident # 20-05607 – A 28 year old man died from injuries received in a single car MVC at the intersection of Quail Dr and Partridge Trail Sunday morning 16-August. The accident was discovered at 02:06 and reported to 9-1-1. Sheriff’s Office and Fire-Rescue units arrived minutes later to find a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis overturned on Partridge Trail at the entrance to the Quail Creek Subdivision. It appeared the vehicle had been traveling northbound when it left the road, entered the ditch and struck a concrete culvert. The unrestrained driver was partially ejected and was trapped in the wreckage. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man had no signs of life and notified the Coroner’s Office. He was transported by the Coroner’s Office. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Quail Drive was blocked for two hours until the accident was cleared.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Car 110 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
