17/August/2020 – Structure Fire – “A” Shift

Incident # 20-5633 – A singlewide mobile home suffered minor damage in an early afternoon fire at 1311 McMillian Street Monday 17-August at 14:23. A neighbor alerted 9-1-1 when they saw smoke coming from the home. Engine 19 arrived to find light smoke coming from all sides of the structure. Firefighters discovered a wall in the front bed room that was on fire. They removed the exterior siding and insulation to extinguish the fire. No personal belongings were lost, but the interior suffered minor smoke damage. No one was injured during the incident. The cause of the fire was an electrical wire that shorted in the wall. Units were on the scene for an hour.

Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26 and Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 110 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
