25/August/2020 – Car vs House with Injuries – “C” Shift Incident # 20-5827 – A vehicle collided with a
residence in the 200 block of McTeer St in the City of Walterboro Tuesday
morning 25-August. Fire-Rescue and City of Walterboro units were advised of
the incident at 07:34. Units arrived to find a Ford Expedition had backed
into the residence with approximately half to the SUV entering the home. Two
children were asleep in the room that was struck. Both children suffered
minor injuries. Firefighter-Paramedics evaluated and treated the pair at the
scene and transported both along with a third child at the mothers request.
All three were taken to Colleton Medical Center. The driver of the
Expedition received only minor injuries and did not wish to be transported
to the hospital. Walterboro Police are investigating the incident. Medic 1, Rescue 1, Car 110, Car 118 and Walterboro Fire
Units responded. Walterboro Chief Paul Siegler served as Incident Commander. |
