11/September/2020 – MVC with Air Evac – “B” Shift

Incident # 20-06246 – An adult female was injured in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of ACE Basin Pkwy (US Hwy 17) and Charleston Hwy (SC Hwy 64) Friday afternoon 11-September at 18:00. She and another cyclist were southbound on ACE Basin Parkway when the patient laid her bike down in the roadway. She was wearing a helmet, but appeared to have suffered a head injury and was unconscious following the accident. Firefighter-Paramedics treated her at he scene and transported her to the nearby field at the Jacksboro Baptist Church to meet with the CARE Flight medical helicopter. The patient was turned over to the Flight crew without incident, then flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 2, Brush 2, Medic 9, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Lt. Brian Drew served as Incident Commander.
