13/October/2020 - Gas Leak - "A" Shift Incident # 20-07001 - A utility contractor broke a residential gas line in the 400 block of Tulip Drive Tuesday morning 13-October at 09:54. The pressurized line leaked natural gas into the neighborhood for approximately 35 minutes. Fire-Rescue Units and Sheriff's Deputies responded and blocked off the roads leading into the area. Dominion Energy also responded with a crew and quickly secured the leak and then made a repair to the line. This is the third broken gas line in the last two months due to the installation of fiber optic lines into the residential areas. Engine 26, Medic 16, HazMat 19, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded.
