Fire-Rescue conducted decon training in conjunction with Colleton Medical Center staff to review the Hospital's Decon and HazMat protection equipment. Two sessions were conducted Tuesday 20-October and Wednesday 21-October in the rear parking lot and key hospital personnel were involved in setting up the Hospital's inflatable dual line Decontamination Tent. A brief overview of a Decon Line, Hot, Warm and Cold Zones, flow paths for patients and the proper use of respiratory equipment were also covered. Both sessions lasted about an hour.
Engine 19, Engine 26, HazMat 19, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 105, Car 112, Car 114, Car 118 and Car 119 participated.
