CCFR November 19 2020

Incident # 20-07969 - A 34 yr. old man died from injuries he received in a single car MVC in the 8600 block of Lowcountry Hwy. (US Hwy 21) at the intersection of Shiloh Loop Thursday evening 19-November. At 21:33, another motorist reported the accident. While emergency units were enroute, a second caller advised the driver was trapped in the wreckage. Additional Fire-Rescue units were assigned to the incident. The first arriving Firefighter-Paramedics found the car with heavy damage, wrapped around a pine tree. The driver was trapped in the wreckage and had no signs of life. The Coroner's Office was notified. Crews used Holmatro Rescue Tools to remove two doors to gain access to the man. He was extricated from the car and turned over to the Coroner's Office. It appeared the south bound Saturn crossed the northbound lane, struck a concrete culvert, then several trees. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
