Incident # 21-01796 - An adult male was severely injured when his Toyota Preius collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck at the intersection of Bells Hwy and Briarwood Rd Sunday afternoon 14-March at 18:51. The Preus received heavy damage with over one foot of intrusion into the passenger space. The man suffered multiple injuries. He was quickly treated at the scene, then transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. He was transferred to the Flight Crew without incident and flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The driver of the Ford was not injured. Walterboro Police Dept is investigating the crash.
