Incident # 21-02403 - An adult male received second and third degree burns to both legs while burning yard debris Wednesday afternoon 07-April. At 14:21, 9-1-1 was notified of the incident in the 6600 block of Sidneys Road in which a flammable product ignited and burned the man's legs. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene and transported the man to a nearby field in Fire-Rescue Medic 19. The CARE Flight helicopter responded and landed in the field. The patient was transferred to the Flight Crew, then flown to the Burn Center at MUSC.
Engine 19, Medic 19,Battalion 1 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Joseph Campbell served as Incident Commander.
