12/April/2021 - Brush Fire - "B" Shift

Incident # 21-02535 - Fire-Rescue responded to a multi-acre woods fire Monday afternoon 12-April on Wellston Circle. At 14:48, units were notified of a control burn that had been spread by high winds. Engine 19 arrived to find fire had already jumped the road and was spreading in several directions involving multiple acres. Crews requested additional assistance and a plow from the Forestry Commission. Brush 6, Brush 27, Engine 27 and ARFF 19 were assigned to the incident. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours until the fire was contained. Crews kept the spreading from reaching any businesses in the area. 

Engine 19, Engine 27, Brush 6, Brush 27, ARFF 19, Medic 6, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 119 responded. Captain Alex Koontz served as Incident Commander.
