Fire-Rescue's CERT members assisted with the Neyles Community COVID 19 Vaccine Clinic held Saturday 19-June by Palmetto Palace Healthcare. Headed up by CERT Coordinator Adrienne Stokes, Hurricane Safety information and preparation materials were distributed to citizens during the event. CERT members were on scene to answer questions and assist the public. On June 9th, CERT members also distributed hurricane safety information to parents at Hendersonville Elementary School as they picked up their children. At the Neyles Community Center, CERT members gave out 24 adult disaster preparedness packets and 16 children packets. At Hendersonville Elementary School, CERT members gave out 73 adult English packets, 6 adult Spanish packets, 137 children English packets, and 15 children Spanish packets. Hendersonville Elementary was a drive-thru event.
