Incident # 21-0One person was injured in a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Sidneys Road on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 18:01. Engine 19 arrived six minutes later to find a vehicle far from the roadway. It appeared to have rolled over several times, coming to rest on its roof. The driver was entrapped and had multiple injuries. Crews used hydraulic tools to remove the driver's door and extricate the patient. The patient was placed in Medic 19 and was transported a short distance to the landing zone to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. Crews assisted with transferring the patient to the aircraft and securing the LZ. CARE Flight transported the patient to Trident Medical Center.
Engine 19, Medic 19, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Car 102, Car 105, and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Michael Feather served as Incident Commander.
