Incident # 21-06206 - An adult male received multiple traumatic injuries after his motorcycle and a car collided in the 8700 block of Bells Hwy (SC Hwy 64) Friday afternoon 27-August at 15:30. Fire-Rescue units arrived to find the motorcycle driver lying in the ditch, with the heavily damaged motorcycle nearby. Crews treated the man's injuries at the scene, then transported him emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. The patient was transferred to the Flight Crew, then flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The SC Hwy. Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 18, Medic 18, Rescue 18, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Firefighter Damontre Ferguson served as Incident Commander.
