Incident # 21-07459 - An adult female received multiple injuries resulting from a 20 feet fall from a deer stand, Saturday afternoon 16-October at 17:17. The incident occurred about 1/2 mile into the woods off of the 200 block of Moselle Road in the Islandton Community. Medic 18 was able to access the patient from a small dirt road into the property. The patient was treated at the scene, then transported out of the woods to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter at the Islandton baseball field. The patient was transferred to the Flight Crew without incident, then flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Engine 15, Engine 18, Medic 18, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Lt. Eric Polk served as Incident Commander.
