Incident # 22-01817 - An adult male received an accidental, gunshot wound to the leg Tuesday afternoon 08-March at 15:09. The man advised he was walking on Verdier St near Park Ave when a small caliber pistol he was carrying fell from his pocket and discharged, striking him in the leg. The man was in stable condition. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene, then transported him to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The Walterboro Police Dept. is investigating the incident.
Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 105, Car 107, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Asst. Chief Marty Stallings served as Incident Commander.
