Incident # 22-02013 - An adult female received serious injuries after her car flipped over in the driveway of 3214 Peniel Rd Wednesday afternoon 16-March at 12:56. The Chevrolet Malibu struck a tree. The unrestrained driver was partially ejected and the car rolled over trapping her arm under the vehicle. A canine was also in the vehicle. The dog may have broken its tail, but otherwise did not appear to suffer any other injuries. Firefighter-Paramedics used Holmatro Rescue Tools to lift the car off of the woman's arm. She was extricated and treated at the scene, then transported emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston by Fire-Rescue Medic 13. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 1, Medic 1, Medic 13, Rescue 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Firefighter-EMT Brett Beach served as Incident Commander.
