Incident # 22-03138 - A 28 yr old male received a gunshot wound to his arm Monday evening 25-April at 23:11. The incident occurred at 404 Witsell St at Lincoln Apartments. The man suffered a severe injury to his arm and ran to a nearby apartment, where some Good Samaritans used towels to control his profuse bleeding. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later, bandaged his wounds and administered IV fluids. He was transported emergent to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter stationed at CMC. The man was transferred to the Flight Crew, then flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The Walterboro Police Dept is investigating the incident.
Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
