10/May/2022 - Multi-acre Woods Fire - "B" Shift

Incident # 22-03559 - A multi-acre woods fire in the 200 block of Turner Lane, was one of several Tuesday that kept Firefighters busy most of the afternoon. Crews responded at 11:01 for the report of a large woods fire threatening several structures. Firefighters found a large fast moving woods fire and requested additional units to assist. Units were on the scene for four hours protecting structures while two Forestry tractors cut lines around the fire. No buildings were damaged. Fire units responded to a woods fire that got out of hand on Can City Road near Leroy Place several hours later. The controlled burn spread to several buildings/garage and destroyed the buildings. Woods fires also occurred on Pratt Lane and Bailey Farm Rd. 

Engine 9, Engine 11, Engine 19, Tender 2, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 34, Brush 2, Brush 9, Battalion 1, Medic 9 and Medic 19 responded. Firefighter-Paramedic Tony Keen served as Incident Commander.
