Incident # 22-03586 - An adult male was critically injured in a single vehicle MVC in the 1000 block of Oakman Branch Road Tuesday evening 10-May. The accident was reported at 22:19, after the southbound sedan left the roadway, struck a driveway culvert and overturned several times. The unrestrained man was ejected from the car. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man unconscious, face down in the ditch. He suffered multiple traumatic injuries. He was quickly treated at the scene, then transported with additional Firefighter-Paramedics on board to assist with his care. Fire-Rescue Medic 26 transported the man emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
