22/June/2022 - Structure Fires - A and B Shifts

Incident # 22-04826 - Three mobile homes were destroyed on property at the corner of Smoak Road and Our Dream Lane Wednesday morning 22-June. At 07:45, 9-1-1 received a report of a mobile home on fire endangering a school bus in the 1900 block of Smoak Rd. Engine 19 arrived to find  three vacant singlewide mobile homes well involved with an approximately 1/2 acre woods fire. Firefighters deployed three handlines from Engine 19 to combat the fires from Smoak Road. Engine 1 set up on Our Dream Lane deploying two handlines. Firefighter-Paramedics had the fire knocked down within thirty minutes. They used a winch from a staff vehicle to remove a portion of the roof from two of the mobile homes. Crews were able to keep the flames from reaching a fourth mobile home and the old school bus which was parked on the property and used for storage. Fire units were on the scene for four hours. Water supply was conducted with Tenders. The cause of the fire is under investigation. None of the buildings had power connected. 

Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 102, Car 112, Car 117 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
