12/July/2022 - Structure Fire - "B" Shift

Incident # 22-05376 - A Hunting Lodge in the 7200 block of Hendersonville Hwy was damaged in an evening structure fire Tuesday 12-July at 20:18. Persons attending church next door saw smoke coming from the building and alerted the owner, who called 9-1-1. Fire-Rescue units arrived minutes later to find smoke coming from the eaves on all sides of the single story wood frame building. The owner had used a garden hose on the fire prior to the fire units arriving. Crews deployed one handline to the building and doused the remaining flames. The fire had burned into an exterior wall and firefighters used a chainsaw to remove a portion of the wall and extinguish the fire. The building and most of the contents were saved, but the building received fire, smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire appears to have been electrical in nature.

Engine 1, Engine 8, Engine 13, Tender 1, Tender 8, Tender 13, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 13 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
