13/July/2022 - Structure Fire - "C" Shift Incident # 22-05401 - An approximately 20x50 metal storage building was destroyed, along with a multitude of tools, power equipment, lawn mowers, three 55 gallon drums of diesel and several bird cages. Approximately 15 doves and several ducks also perished during the fire. The fire occurred in the 1000 block of Nunuville Road at 15:08. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple hand lines to extinguish the fire and kept the flames from reaching other outside buildings and the residence on the property. Fire units were on the scene for 2-1/2 hours. The cause appears to have been a lighting strike from a thunderstorm that was passing through the area. Engine 19, Engine 26, Engine 36, Tender 5, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Michael Banks served as Incident Commander.
