Incident # 22-05438 - A lightning strike damaged a residential dwelling at 196 Emerald Street Thursday evening 14-July during a thunderstorm. At 21:22 the resident notified 9-1-1 there was smoke in the home. Fire-Rescue units arrived a short time later and found heavy smoke in an addition to the residence. Firefighters searched the home and found a door casing that had burned. Crews removed smoke from the home. No other damage was found to the structure and no injuries were reported. UNits were on the scene for 1-1.2 hours.
Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 118 responded. Battalion CHief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
