Incident # 22-06871 - An adult male was transported to a Trauma Center following a single car crash in front of 6722 Sidneys Rd, Saturday afternoon 03-September at 18:31. The southbound pickup truck entered the southbound ditch just after passing Round O Road (Sidneys Crossroads). The vehicle, which was traveling at a high rate of speed, over-corrected, crossed to the northbound side of the road where it flipped over several times and struck a tree. The driver received multiple traumatic injuries. Bystanders and several motorists stopped to assist the man until Fire-Rescue units arrived. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man at the scene, then transported him emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 19, Engine 36, Medic 19, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Car 102 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
