Incident # 22-06943 - An adult male died from a gunshot wound during a reported home invasion in the 26200 block of Cottageville Hwy. (US Hwy 17-A) east of Cottageville Tuesday evening 06-September. Sheriff's Deputies and Fire-Rescue units were dispatched to the location at 22:35, Sheriff's Deputies arrived quickly and cleared the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics found the victim unconscious with no signs of life. The Coroner's Office was notified and responded to the scene. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in the victim's car, a black 2011 Honda Accord displaying SC Plate UXD445. Law enforcement is looking for a heavy set white male with a beard and tattoos wearing dark jeans, crocs and a tactical vest.
