Incident # 23-01181 - An adult female was shot in the chest at the Dollar General in Jacksonboro, 16483 ACE Basin Parkway Tuesday evening 14-February. At 19:02, 9-1-1 received several reports of what was thought to be an accidental shooting in the park lot of the store. Sheriff's Deputies secured the scene and Firefighter-Paramedics treated the woman at the scene. She was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 6 to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. Two additional Firefighter-Paramedics assisted with her care during transport. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
Engine 2, Medic 6, Battalion 1, Car 110, Car 111 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
