16/February/2023 - Fatal Shooting Incident - "B" Shift
Incident # 23-01240 - A 15 year old male was shot and killed in an incident
in the 100 block of Steeplechase Drive Thursday evening 16-February at
18:49. Sheriff's Deputies arrived and located the unresponsive victim. The
Deputies began CPR on the victim. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived and
continued resuscitative efforts. Fire-Rescue Medic 19 transported the
victim emergent to Colleton Medical Center with five additional
Firefighter-Paramedics onboard to assist with his care. The Hospital's
Emergency Department worked diligently to save the victim, but he did not
survive his injuries. The Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting.
