Incident # 23-01272 - At 01:40, an adult male was shot at the Waffle House located at 1646 Bells Hwy. in Walterboro. 9-1-1 received reports of the shooting indicating two people were injured. Arriving officers advised of only one person who was shot. Firefighter-Paramedics found one adult male lying near the doorway inside the restaurant. The victim received multiple wounds and was not breathing. Crews began resuscitative efforts and transported the man emergent to Colleton Medical Center in Fire-Rescue Medic 26. The Hospital Emergency Department worked to revive the patient, but unfortunately he did not survive his injuries. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the incident.
