Incident # 23-01321 - An unattended trash fire spread to burn several acres, damage a doublewide mobile home, an outside storage building and several other items Monday afternoon 20-February.The fire occurred in the 200 block of Lafayette Lane. At 14:29, 9-1-1 received several reports of the fire. Engine 19 arrived to find the porch of a mobile home on fire and vinyl siding melting. The underpinning had burned away. The fire had spread onto several different properties, damaging an outside storage building and several items in the yards. Firefighters deployed several handlines to contain the fire. The SC Forestry Commission was also requested. Units were on the scene for several hours.
Engine 19, Engine 27, Tender 5, Tender 19, Brush 27 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
