Fire-Rescue hosted the 12th annual Emergency Services Softball tournament Saturday 04-March at the Colleton County Recreation complex. This is the 12th year for the fundraiser. Eight teams from Lowcountry First Responders participated. They and their families enjoyed a beautiful Spring day competing for the win. The first place team was 22 Too Many (Parris Island Marines). Dorchester County Fire-Rescue took the second place trophy. Other competing departments were Burton, Charleston, Colleton County, Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Jasper County, Lady's Island, Mount Pleasant and North Charleston Police Dept. $2,500 was raised and will be split between the SC Burned Children's Fund and Carolina Children's Charity.
