Incident # 23-02346 - A Jacksonboro man was seriously injured in a single vehicle MVC on Green Pond Hwy (SC Hwy 303) just south of Rivers Street Saturday morning 01-April at 01:27. Another motorist drove up on the accident and reported it to 9-1-1. The southbound Chevrolet Impala appeared to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control in a curve. The small car spun around backwards, left the road and struck several trees, trunk first. The rear bumper was pushed to the back seats. The unrestrained driver was thrown into the back seats and partially ejected from the car. He was found unconscious. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene, then transported him emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Captain Jack Wimberly served as Incident Commander.
