Incident # 23-04521 - An adult female was critically injured in a single vehicle MVC on Jacksonboro Road near Charleston Hwy (SC Hwy 64) west of Jacksonboro Saturday morning 24-June at 01:24. A SUV was traveling southbound on Jacksonboro Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The SUV was found approximately 50 feet off of the roadway in the woods with heavy damage. The driver was trapped in the wreckage. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the women at the scene and used Holmatro Rescue Tools to extricate her from the SUV. She was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 9 to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. Additional Firefighter-Paramedics assisted with her care during transport to the Trauma Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the MVC.
Engine 2, Engine 9, Medic 6, Medic 9, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Firefighter Eddie Froshour served as Incident Commander.
