It is with sadness that we announce the passing of 9-1-1 Telecommunicator Sergeant Christy Worley. Sgt. Worley lost her battle with cancer Thursday evening 03-August at Summerville Community Hospice House. She was 44 years old. Sergeant Worley served as a Colleton County 9-1-1 Dispatcher for 19 years. She has been termed the Angel of the Airwaves. She will be missed. Please remember her family and our Sheriff's Office partners in your prayers.
Funeral services were conducted at Brice Herndon Funeral Home and Christy was laid to rest at Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery on Bells Hwy in Ruffin Monday afternoon 07-August.
