Incident # CCFR2305951 - A building fire on Sidneys Road was quickly contained on Friday morning 11-August. At 05:06, Fire-Rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire at 1941 Sidneys Rd, Walterboro (Northside Pak a Sak). The first engine arrived less than five minutes later to find smoke showing from the exterior. Crews entered the building and were able to quickly bring the fire under control using portable extinguishers. The fire was confined to the kitchen area and damage was limited. Crews were on scene for almost an hour performing ventilation, overhaul, and ensuring the building was safe. There were no injuries.
Engine 19, Engine 27, Tender 19, Tender 1, Tender 9, Tender 26, Tender 27, Ladder 19, Medic 19, Battalion 1, and Car 105 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
