Incident # 23-06671 - An adult male was injured Saturday 02-Sept. when his pickup truck left the highway and struck several trees trapping him in the wreckage. At 10:47, the pickup truck was traveling northbound on Jefferies Highway near Langdale Dr when it veered into the southbound ditch and struck several trees. The truck received heavy damage in the collision and the restrained driver suffered multiple non-life threatening injuries. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later and began treating the man's injuries. Other crew members used Holmatro Hydraulic Rescue Tools to extricate the man from the damaged truck. He was transported to Colleton Medical Center in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 for further treatment. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
