Incident # 23-07563 - CARE Flight was called to transport a critical child from a residence in the 300 block of Crosby Corner Road Friday morning 06-October at 09:41. The child was suffering from severe respiratory failure. Firefighter-Paramedics and a home health care nurse treated the child in the residence and called for a medical helicopter. CARE Flight landed in a field in front of the home. The patient required advanced airway management prior to being flown to the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital at MUSC in Charleston.
Engine 1, Medic 1, Battalion 1 and Car 107 responded. Chief McRoy served as Incident Commander.
