Incident # 23-08473 - At 21:06, Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire in the 100 block of Lotus Ct, north of Cottageville. A neighbor advised 9-1-1 that they heard an explosion and could see flames through the woods. Engine 9 arrived to find a singlewide mobile home approximately 70% involved, two campers that were well involved and four vehicles next to the mobile home on fire. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines and used the deck gun on Engine 9 to combat the fires. Tenders supplied water for the firefighting effort on the small one lane dirt road. Crews had the fires under control in less than 30 minutes, but were on the scene for five hours performing overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was at home when the fire occurred and no injuries were reported. The mobile home, the two campers and the four vehicles were destroyed.
Engine 9, Engine 36, Tender 5, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Captain Mike Duffy served as incident Commander.
