Incident # 23-09625 - An adult male was injured when his pickup truck left Interstate 95 near the 55 mile marker NB, struck a guard rail and tumbled down an embankment landing on its side in Ivanhoe Creek. Several bystanders stopped to assist the man. Engine 1, Medic 1 and Rescue 1 arrived and began treating the man. He was transported to Colleton Medical Center for further treatment. Northbound I-95 was down to one lane for an hour. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 1, Medic 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 responded. Captain Bryan Eadon served as Incident Commander.
