Incident # 24-00795 - At 21:32, Sheriff's Deputies and Fire-Rescue were sent to the area of Round O Road just south of Ferret Lane for an unconscious male in a pickup truck Monday evening 29-January. The caller indicated the vehicle was in the woods and the man may have been shot. Units were clearing up from another incident about two miles away and arrived quickly. Unfortunately the man was deceased. The truck apparently had been southbound on Round O Road, swerved at a high rate of speed and jumped an embankment. The vehicle then struck several trees. The incident is being investigated by the Colleton County Sheriff's Office.
Engine 9, Medic 9, Battalion 1, Car 107 and Car 111 responded. Chief McRoy served as Incident Commander.
