Incident # 24-02502 - On Sunday afternoon 31-March, an adult male in the Ruffin Community suffered a critical medical emergency. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man at the scene, then transported him to Bells Elementary School to meet with the CARE Flight medical helicopter. CARE Flight landed in the field in front of the school. The patient was transferred to the flight crew without incident, then flown to Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Engine 18, Medic 7, Medic 18, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Firefighter-Flight Paramedic Kayla Katt served as incident Commander.
