Incident # 24-02589 - An adult male was killed when his bicycle was struck from behind by a passenger car in the 14600 block of Bells Hwy. (SC Hwy 64) west of Stephens Crossroads Wednesday afternoon 03-April. The accident was reported at 15:07 when witnesses told 9-1-1 a small dark colored car struck the man. He was thrown into the ditch and the car did not stop to render aid, but fled the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics from Station 18, arrived minutes later, but the man had no signs of life. The Coroner's Office was requested and responded to the scene. The SC Highway Patrol and their MAIT Team are investigating the accident. The Sheriff's Office also responded.
