Incident # 24-03225 - An adult male received a life threatening gunshot wound during an incident at the Colleton Heights Apartments, 100 Sniders Hwy. (SC Hwy 63) Wednesday afternoon 24-April at 19:55. Law Enforcement Officers cleared the scene and controlled the bleeding on the patient until Firefighter-Paramedics arrived. The patient was found near the "G" Building. Crews treated the patient and administered IV Fluids prior to transporting him to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center in Fire-Rescue Medic 26. He was transferred to the Flightcrew of CARE Flight, then flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The Walterboro Police Dept. is investigating the incident.
Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 105 and Car 111 responded. Chief McRoy served as incident Commander.
