Incident # 24-03678 - A neighbor alerted 9-1-1 to a building that was on fire at 8178 Rehoboth Road (SC Hwy 651) Friday evening 10-May at 21:16. Engine 36 arrived minutes later to find the single story wood frame residence well involved. They reported the roof had already collapsed, indicating the building had been on fire for some time. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed two handlines to the building and had the fire knocked down within 15 minutes. Units were on the scene for two hours performing overhaul. It appeared the fire originated in the front room of the residence. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The home suffered substantial damage.
Engine 9, Engine 36, Tender 5, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 34, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Lt. Shane Weber served as Incident Commander.
