Incident # 24-04148 - A small residential structure was destroyed in an early morning fire in the 100 block of Turner Ln south of Cottageville Thursday morning 30-May. At 05:06, a passing motorist notified 9-1-1 that the building was burning. Engine 9 arrived minutes later to find the single story home completely destroyed. The entire structure had already collapsed and was almost burned out. The structure had apparently been burning unnoticed for some time. Firefighters deployed two hanlines to extinguish the remaining fire. Water supply was conducted using Tenders. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire units were on the scene for two hours.
Engine 9, Engine 19, Tender 2, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 27, Medic 9, Medic 19 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
