Incident # 24-04159 - A mobile home moving truck was destroyed on Charleston Hwy (SC Hwy 64) near Rodeo Drive Thursday afternoon 30-May at 13:40. Engine 26 arrived to find the truck with the cab well involved. The truck was pulling a singlewide mobile home and had one lane of Charleston Hwy blocked. Crews deployed one handline to extinguish the fire. The heat melted some of the vinyl siding on the front of the mobile home, but the mobile home did not appear to have sustained any additional damage. Firefighters used thermal imaging equipment to check the interior of the mobile home. The truck driver was not injured.
Engine 19, Engine 26, Tender 1, Tender 27, Medic 19, Battalion 1, C103 and Car 112 responded. Captain KC Campbell served as Incident Commander.
