Incident # 24-04679 - A 23 yr old male was shot multiple times in the 300 block of Blanchard Street Tuesday evening 18-June. 9-1-1 received several calls concerning the incident reporting a man was shot and lying in the yard of a residence on the corner of Blanchard St. and Proctor Street. Walterboro Police and Sheriff's Deputies arrived quickly and secured the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics began treating the man in the yard. A medical helicopter was not immediately available. Fire-Rescue Medic 1 transported the man emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in critical condition. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the incident.
Medic 1, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Chief McRoy served as incident Commander.
