Fire-Rescue's Emergency Management Division and the Chamber of Commerce conducted a Business Preparedness Workshop at the Colleton Center on Hampton Street Thursday morning 27-June. The event was conducted to assist local businesses prepare for a disaster and the recovery phase of a disaster such as a hurricane. The room was full of attendees and speakers and lasted an hour. Representatives from the State Commerce Department, local Chamber of Commerce, Fire-Rescue, the insurance industry and Law Enforcement presented information.
